When you visit our website, we use cookies, which you can read more about in our cookie policy here.
When you contact us
When you write (via email or social media) or call us, we will process your personal data (typically name, email, and phone number) so that we can engage in a dialogue, for example, to respond to questions regarding our services and products. We only process the personal data that you provide to us.
This processing activity is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (legitimate interest).
When you book one of our services
When you make a booking, we collect the following personal data from you:
Full name
Phone number
Address
Payment information
Date of birth (optional)
We collect this information to ensure that you receive the correct service, process your order, and contact you in case of any issues, such as if we are unable to deliver the service at the chosen time.
This processing activity is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (performance of a contract).
Newsletter
You can freely subscribe to our newsletter, both when booking and by filling out a form on our website. You will only receive these emails if you have given consent and can always unsubscribe. Unsubscribing can be done by clicking the link at the bottom of the emails sent or by writing to us at june@junesroom.dk.
The purpose of our newsletter is to send emails with information and offers from Junes Room, including discounts and event invitations.
When subscribing, we collect your name and email address.
This processing activity is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (consent).
We will process your personal data for as long as you are subscribed to our newsletter. If you unsubscribe, we will retain your information for a maximum of 2 years after the last email was sent, in accordance with the Consumer Ombudsman’s spam guidelines section 11.3.
Accounting
The Accounting Act requires us to retain all accounting records. This includes invoices and similar documents, which may include names, addresses, and contact information, among other details.
This processing activity is based on Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation (legal obligation).
These personal data are stored for a minimum of 5 years after the end of the current fiscal year.
Data Processors
We have entered into agreements with the following data processors to carry out the above processing activities:
- Planway for booking
- Mailchimp for newsletters
- Dinero for accounting
- Transfers to Third Countries
Our data processor Mailchimp, which we use to send our newsletter, is a US-based company. When we store your name and email in Mailchimp, your information is transferred to the USA, which is an insecure third country (the level of data protection is not equivalent to that in the EU) according to the EU Commission. Therefore, our data processing agreement with Mailchimp includes standard contractual clauses (often referred to as SCCs) to ensure that the security meets the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. You can read more about this on Mailchimp’s website here.
Your Rights
The General Data Protection Regulation gives you certain rights regarding our processing of your personal data.
To exercise your rights, please write to june@junesroom.dk
Right of access
You have the right to see what personal data we process about you.
Right to rectification
If we have incorrect personal data about you, you have the right to have it corrected.
Right to erasure
In some cases, you have the right to have your personal data erased, for example, if we received it in connection with subscribing to our newsletter. However, there may be circumstances that override this right, such as the aforementioned legal requirement regarding accounting.
Right to restriction
In some cases, you have the right to restrict our processing of your personal data. If you have the right to restriction, we may only process your personal data (in addition to storage) if you have given consent, to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim, or to protect another person or important societal interests.
Right to object
If you believe that we are processing your personal data without the necessary legal basis, you can object by contacting us at june@junesroom.dk.
Right to data portability
In some cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format so that you can transfer it from one data controller to another easily.
Withdrawal of consent
When our processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you can always withdraw your consent. After that, we will immediately cease further processing. This particularly applies to our newsletter.
Complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency
If you are dissatisfied with our processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency. You can find the contact details of the Danish Data Protection Agency at www.datatilsynet.dk, where you can also read more about your rights.
